Reconciliation brings peace on three levels. We are to be reconciled with God, with ourselves, and with one another. There is such a connection of each member that what happens to one affects all the others. Therefore, believers should give attention to how they should pursue reconciliation and peace, not only with God, but also with other Christians in the body of Christ.
Peace with God must also transcend to being at peace with oneself. Persons can be divided by not having a made up mind. Many are controlled by feelings. They serve God when they feel like it, or as long as it’s easy. But serving God requires work and overcoming. So being at peace with oneself requires having a resolved mind to serve God faithfully regardless.
